our theme is non-electric play

this public art project is awesome. a family purchased/donated/whatever the 15,000 smackers to get us a globe and now the whole school is working on it. when it's done it'll be put with all its globe friends by the field museum.

i'd post pics but i don't want photos of my students online. well, that and i want to keep my job. maybe i'll get some when no kids are around.

they keep upping my credit limit. i could now buy a freaking car (well, a hyundai) with my credit card.

little do they know i don't like having a comma in my credit card statement so i never use it.

so my cable box is totally frozen, medusa-stare-down-style. i called my friends at comcast and sat through 20 minutes of instructions only to find that they can't come out till next thursday to fix it. sigh.

the cable guy says he feels bad and is signing my sweet ass up for SIX FREE MONTHS OF SHOWTIME.

i haven't felt really torn about something in a long time. and here i am, hating that i can't watch this american life on showtime and reading ryan and amanda's posts on it and drooling. i don't want to pay 20 dollars a month for one show but i want to watch this show. man.
